Intimate Wedding in the heart of the NEW YORK CITY
If you planning intimate wedding and looking for an affordable option in terms of location? Community Gardens of New York might be the perfect answer for you. Did you know that only in East Village there are almost 40 community gardens! This East Village Community Garden Elopement Wedding is a great example of one of many place to choose from.
Some of the East Village Gardens are more private then others. As you can imagine the only thing you need to do is to ask if they are open to the idea of hosting your wedding ceremony there. There are plenty of advantages to go that route.
Advantages of getting married in ComMunity Garden
For one the locations are in the heart of the city, which mean not excessive travel. Just like the couple from the this wedding you can literally walk from where you are getting ready – either it will be your apartment or hotel and not to worry about getting enough cars at the same time for all guests and family.
Secondly, most of the gardens will not be open to public when your ceremony is scheduled. This is huge. The space will be reserved just for you! Unlike Central Park weddings for example you can rest assured it will be much more intimate.
Thirdly – this is also very important – the proximity of other venues in the area. It is so easy to find a good restaurant – especially in East Village – and host you elopement wedding party there. Right after the wedding you can – again – walk there. In case of the lovely couple below restaurant was just next door from the garden.
Lastly – organizing your intimate wedding in the community garden means plenty of opportunities to take photos. Both in community garden and surrounding streets there are endless backdrops for your photos. This option is for those who love the city vibes – of course.
CoMMunity Gardens Best For Elopement WEdding
So what to look for when searching for perfect community garden for your fun elopement wedding?
The amount of space is important. So look for one that will accomodate the number of the guests you are planning to have. If it is just two of you most of them will be fine. If you plan taking photos there after or before the ceremony, I would look for the variety of backgrounds. We can also take photos on the Manhattan streets but it is a good idea to take advantage of greenery in the garden as well. One of my favorites is 6BC Community Garden. It has plenty of different little spaces for photos.
There is also tiny little space but also charming that would be suitable also for other events. It is called Creative little Garden.
For lovers of classic art there is also a special place. With sculptures and walking paths. Elizabeth Street Garden is the most west of East Village but it worth even just going there and exploring.
Here are just three possibilities for your intimate elopement wedding in the city. There are plenty more. I’m sure you will find the space you will love and will check all the boxes.
