Some wedding days feel like a dream from start to finish—and this one at Felina Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ? Total magic. The couple spent their whole day at the venue, which gave us the perfect chance to slow down and tell their story with intention, laughter, and all the real moments that matter.
Everything unfolded naturally- and beautifully- from the morning prep to their romantic portraits under the city lights.

Getting Ready at Felina: Candid, Cozy, and Full of Emotion
Because couples can get ready right at Felina, the morning is calm — no rushing, no driving between locations, just easy excitement. The private suites offer soft, flattering light, making them ideal for first looks. Some of the most moving moments we capture here happen before the ceremony even begins: a first look with a parent, a sibling, or the partner — each one full of raw, unguarded emotion.

It’s also the perfect setting for private vows or a quiet ring exchange. We document it all silently, letting those intimate moments unfold on their own. Those are the images couples hold onto forever.
Felina’s Best Spots for Portraits
We keep portraits fun and fresh, always looking for a unique flair that makes the images feel like the couple’s own. Felina makes that easy — it’s full of tucked-away nooks and bright, open spaces, with no awkward hallway shuffles or stress. Just real, joyful exploration.

Mezzanine
The wraparound mezzanine, with its soft light and sculptural chandeliers, delivers beautifully modern frames. It’s also a top spot for a first look, especially near the cozy fireplace. The loft-style space invites candid strolls and adds a natural sense of movement to bridal portraits.
This loft-type space also allows for candid strolls and stunning bridal portraits to add motion to the photos.

For any photographer, Felina’s large windows are a gift — huge, soft light sources that create a clean, modern, editorial look. A few minutes against the glass can produce some of the most striking images of the day.

The vault
We also couldn’t resist the old vault door downstairs. In just five minutes, we captured a handful of images that felt fun, intimate, and so very them. It’s wild how a dramatic setting like that can still feel romantic when you catch people in their element.

Outdoors
Ridgewood’s streets give you a flexible outdoor option year-round. In the warmer months, the historic bank walls make a striking backdrop for couple and wedding-party photos. Even on a cold evening, five quick minutes outside is well worth it for a standout night shot.

Ceremony and Reception in “The Treasury”

Couples can keep everything under one roof by holding both the ceremony and reception in Felina’s grand ballroom — The Treasury. With candlelight bouncing off the marble floors and soaring windows, the space turns warm and glowing: elegant but never stiff, elevated but full of heart.

During cocktail hour on the mezzanine, the empty, candlelit ballroom becomes a perfect stage for a few quick portraits — the ambiance does all the work. Once the party begins, the center dance floor keeps the energy high all night, and a quick step outside under the stars is the ideal way to close the story.

Never-ending reception party
I didn’t want this night to end. The band was phenomenal and, besides the dinner and toasts, kept the dance floor full. What a fantastic time!
