It is not often that I’m lucky to do Polish wedding, at least half Polish. When I met Jadwiga she told me that she wanted to have Polish wedding photographer. It is very important to her besides the fact of having great images. I was happy that I could meet her search points. The ceremony happened in a beautiful Greenpoint church. From there we traveled to the Brooklyn Dyker Beach Golf Course for the wedding Ceremony. I promised Jadwiga and Nick that I will do everything in my power to make the wedding session sweet and short so they can come back and mingle with the guests at the cocktail hour.
Wedding at historical site
I didn’t know at the time but Brooklyn Dyker Beach Golf Course is according to Wikipedia second oldest golf course in the US. Even despite the historical contexts it has plenty of beautiful locations to take wedding photos. I went into the golf course on the ” Just Married” cart and took photos with Verrazano Bridge in the background but also indoor spaces are stylish and kept well. Large window door give plenty of light. When I was looking for a intimate space to take quick night photos the main corridor turned out to be perfect.
Night portraits at Brooklyn Dyker Golf Course
I asked Jadwiga and Nick if they wanted to take some night photos before the cake cutting and our departure. They gave me few minutes and we were able to go outside and incorporate old front gate entrance. Right after we went inside and I noticed that we could take romantic photo of two of them dancing in the main hallway. It was dark already and I ask them to spin in the middle. With a little help of lights we were able to capture timeless but modern wedding portrait. It is now a great part of their wedding photography collection.
If you are looking for a golf course wedding venue with a historical setting which is also almost in the middle of New York – Brooklyn Dyker Golf Course might be perfect for you! You can also check out their engagement session in Brooklyn Domino Park
Congratulations Jadwiga and Nick!
