Beautiful Autumn wedding celebration in the Catskills
Autumn Catskills Wedding magic was in full swing when Kim and Adam tied the knot at the barn venue in Windham. It felt like the perfect season — crisp air, golden light, and all the cozy vibes. From their relaxed morning getting ready to their quiet, private vows in the forest alley and heartfelt ceremony, photographing every moment was a joy. I’m so grateful I got to be a small part of their love story.

Secret wedding vows
We were walking around very quietly, not to interrupt, but were able to capture some one-of-a-kind photos.
I must say, this is one of the most beautiful moments of the wedding. Sometimes, couples write each other letters, exchange them, and read them before they meet for the reveal or the ceremony. Kim and Adam decided they wanted to exchange vows in an intimate location. Forest wedding ceremony
I heard the name of this magical place – Enchanted Forest. It truly is!
From the tree alley, you go down towards the shimmering stream. It comes upon the large plateau area with benches and a ceremonial place at the end of it. In a perfect situation, a setting sun comes through the branches of trees, creates pockets of light, and shows. It is ideal for the photos of you exiting the ceremony. It is especially prevalent for this spot during fall weddings as the sun is lower over the horizon.

Barn wedding reception at the Catskills
And off they go to the barn for the rest of the evening. I was lucky to pull them out for five minutes to do some night shots. Torches on the alley between the barn and the bridge gave a spectacular romantic effect. Usually, during Autumn weddings in the Catskills, it gets dark quickly.
