Jersey City Wedding Celebration
This Hudson House Summer wedding was truly something special. When I arrived early to this Jersey City Venue, I had some time to look around. Dylan and Marc made a great choice choosing this place for their celebration. It is new and modern, and elements of raw wood and bricks make it feel cosy.
But what is I think the best part of this wedding venue is that it has enormous windows facing Statue of Liberty and Manhattan on the other side of the river. The view is nothing short but spectacular. Hudson House is also getting ready to open top floor and rooftop. I think it will serve the couples even better then,.
Hudson House is made for the Bride and Groom.

Dylan wore a beautiful gown from Anne Barge and Marc’s classic and elegant tux from BLK TUX.
Before the first look, Dylan wanted to reveal to her bridesmaids. Photographing is always an emotional and fun moment as all of her girlfriends and moms discover how beautiful she looks.

Hudson House photo opportunities
Hudson House has a fair-sized lawn on the side of the building with a view of Manhattan. It was perfect for Dylan and Marc’s first look and some portraits, followed by bridal party photos.

We took quite candid portrait photos. Dylan asked me to keep it less formal, which was a good way to go. She and Marc were so fun photographing and were open to my suggestions. Their radiant miles made the whole session such a pleasure.
There is also plenty of space inside to take photos. There is a beautiful lobby with a brick floor and a nice plain wall upstairs with window light. This mixture of different backgrounds makes a big difference and gives a lot of good opportunities for great photos.

Before the ceremony, we still had time to go to the outdoor patio on the top floor to take more bridal party photos. Even though the wind was not in our favor, I was able to get some nice photos.

Statue of Liberty View
There are many places in New York and New Jersey where you can see the Statue of Liberty. Hudson House is one of them. It is a nice added bonus to the rest of the photo opportunities in the venue. The best views, I think, are from the top-floor terrace.
Wedding Ceremony at Hudson House
Of course, you can imagine how nice it is to have the wedding ceremony in a space like this. There is plenty of natural light during the day, but also in the evening, which gives great opportunities for the view. Dylan and Marc started their ceremony late afternoon, which allowed them to capture natural light in the space.
This allowed everyone to focus on themselves and enjoy the beautiful ceremony under the chuppah. Crest Florist made the chuppah and the rest of the decorations. The delicate colors and gentle construction were perfect for the space.
The reception was full of fun

As we were going along with our day, I couldn’t help but notice quite a lot of people getting ready for the reception. Soon enough, we found out it was a wedding band. After the cocktail hour, they were all ready to entertain the couple, their families, and all the guests.
Entertain they did!
Dylan, Marc, I must say – your choice of band was more than awesome.
It is enough to say that they not only played almost nonstop but also kept the whole party dancing the whole time. It was sometimes hard to walk through the crowd to take photos. 🙂 This wedding will be in my memories for a long time. The Silver Pro Entertainment band was nothing but the perfect choice.
I wish you both a lifetime of beautiful memories built together. It was truly a pleasure to participate in your celebration that day.
