Hudson House Terrace & First look
This Hudson House wedding was such a beautiful event!
It was an extremely cold November weekend but the weather was gorgeous. Claudia and Alex decided on Hudson House to be the Wedding Venue just for them. All was plant to perfection. They both wanted to do first look and a terrace on the top floor. I was nicely surprised to see that it is almost ready for all to be welcomed. The final touches will come soon but the view… The view from there is spectacular. A lot of open space and the landscape of Manhattan both during the day and night is just breath taking.
So was cold that day. We made it quickly and fun for all. Alex wanted to take a shot of something stronger and so it happened that Claudia was approaching him from behind. Such a fun moment to capture.
After Alex turned around he couldn’t hide his emotions. Just look at his face expression. Is it possible to be more excited than him seeing love of his life ready to be joined with him for ever.
After that we could proceed with few portraits of just two of them.
Modern Interiors
This Jersey City Venue has a lot to offer in terms of photo locations. Modern vibes and open spaces help to create unique photos. With Claudia and Alex we started with quite a surprise photos of them with their cute dog. Fully dressed in wedding outfit perfectly matched the celebratory mood.
This running photo we shows a lot of how he was happy to see our couple and be a part of their wedding.
We took every advantage of light and space to make photos look romantic, edgy and unique. As the sun was setting behind Hudson House we played with shadows and contrasts to bring more of an editorial feel to the images. Wedding portraits are something special for me. It is one of the few times I can truly enjoy witnessing and capturing the love of people to each other being alone with them. I’m always happy to do more of that 🙂
Hudson House Outdoor space
Even though it was freezing outside I was very happy that our lovely couple agreed to go outside for few more photos before the light of day was gone. It was fun to see them walking with the sun warming their backs.
The green space right to the side of the venue is great not only for portraits but also first look, bridal party photos, and even ceremony. Just check out other lovely couple that got married in Hudson House
Hudson House Wedding Ceremony
As it happens the wedding ceremony I witnessed was indoors. I know there is a beautiful outdoor space by the river and with NYC view but the one inside has the advantage of being much more versatile. No matter the weather the view stay the same and you don’t need to worry about your guests bing cold, hot or wet. 🙂
Claudia and Alex wrote their own vows and it was matter of minutes when they also exchanged the rings.
Soon after they were turning around and announced Husband and Wife. Here they come :)!
Reception
As the Hudson House wedding guest of Claudia & Alex enjoyed the cocktail hour I could focus on the reception details. Wintery and Christmasy vibes were shining through.
The fresh spruce tree arch was a very nice touch. Smell of the greens was just fantastic. I was also able to do some more portraits of our couple. I really wanted to show not only the space but also their interaction and feelings. It did work 🙂
Soon after the party started. First dance, toasts. Thanks to the great musicians Hudson House gusts rarely stepped of the dance floor.
It was a lot of fun to be a part of Claudia & Alex Wedding.
Congratulations and all the best to this happy and lovely human beings!
