It is been awhile since I met Laura and Luigi. They found me because I did a wedding of a family member some years back. I remember vividly that on the first meeting it struck me how gentle, nice and warm hearted they were. It felt like I knew got to know them quite well.
Battery Gardens Wedding
Later during our engagement session in Prospect Park during the cherry blossom I heard the extraordinary story of their engagement on during the mountain climbing expedition when after making to the top Luigi proposed to Laura. Also, during the photoshoot, I found out that right this day is an anniversary of their engagement. I thought to myself that they are also one of the most romantic couple I know. Form know on I knew that they have figure out all the details and taking the photos on their wedding day will be great experience.
From early morning we had a lot of fun capturing the loughs of their friends and carefully prepared detail. Right before the “first look”, I had a chance to capture few photos of Laura and one of them where she is dancing on the middle of the empty street is one of my favorites.
The day was filled with little surprise for the guests which where a nice touch and made the whole celebration very special. During the church ceremony gospel choir sang “All you need is love” during the entrance of the bride – what a beautiful performance.
After the ceremony we head out just on the other side of the street, to Battery Park where Battery Gardens Restaurant is located. It is impossible to miss a great view on the harbor and the sun setting above the Statue of Liberty. While guest from all over the world where first drinks we took Laura and Luigi for a casual stroll to the Battery Park to do some lifestyle wedding photos. They were laughing, talking and being who they are – a lovely, fun couple.
Party with surprises
As we were almost done for the day one thing happens that we couldn’t miss. The Hora Loca Dancers entering the dance floor with balloons. All of the sudden guests had the colorful hats and sunglasses. The bride wearing flower crown was dancing mad with the groom and the music was getting just faster and faster. What an evening!
Congrats Laura & Luigi. Thank you for having us!!!
