Brooklyn Bridge Park engagement session.
Amy and Matt contacted me after they saw wedding photos from Tam O’ Shanter Club in Long Island. They loved them. They decided to do their engagement photos in Dumbo area. It was a chilly afternoon in Brooklyn when we met. The sun was about to set when we started wandering around the streets of Dumbo.
Advantages of DUMBO
The buildings and the whole area of Dumbo are constantly changing. Amongst the old two-story buildings, there is contemporary architecture, making it an interesting background for engagement photos in Brooklyn. Additionally, there are still cobblestone streets and warehouses, which make it a deep mine of inspiration. The entire area is connected by the East River to the parks, making Dumbo an ideal location for couples’ photoshoots.
Dumbo is a popular spot for engagement sessions and wedding portraits for the bride and groom. With such a variety of possibilities, it’s quite easy to go to places that are less visited. However, it’s important to note that places like Pebble Beach, Jane’s Carousel, or Empire Fulton Ferry Park are iconic spots of Brooklyn Bridge Park. As a wedding photographer, I highly recommend these spots for their beauty and the stunning sunsets with the view of Manhattan in the background.
As a professional, I want my couples to have amazing photos that they will cherish forever. Dumbo offers a unique combination of old and new architecture, cobblestone streets, and picturesque views. Whether you’re looking for a classic or modern feel, Dumbo has it all. So if you’re looking for a location for your engagement shoot or wedding portraits, Dumbo should definitely be at the top of your list.
Having fun
After few photos taken on the streets, we headed to the park. The sun was getting lower and it was the perfect time to take some romantic photos with beautiful warm glow over the horizon. Amy and Matt were such a fun couple to work with. They were going along with my suggestions and had a lot of laughter. As a result we have fun, happy photos and great experience before the wedding day.
Amy brought a furry vest form ecru which worked great in the park surrounding. Matt had a casual plain color shirt form Report Collection which was also a great choice.
